Gilding and Restoration of Picture Frames

In many cases when we have received a valuable artwork for restoration it has been accompanied by an equally interesting antique frame which has suffered from wear and tear over the years.  Parts of the moulded decoration might be missing and the original gilding is worn and dull.  If the frame has been dropped it may need to be reconstructed and the corners repaired. 

It is possible and worthwhile to restore the frame to its original glory.  Our expert gilder will carefully remould missing parts, clean and re-gild your precious frame to complement the work of art it was intended to adorn. 

The price of restoration compares well with the price of a new frame and, as well as preserving the historical value of the frame, its market price will also be enhanced.
